With places that suggest the presence of people despite their absence, and with words that suggest meaning despite any definitive context, this is a meandering short about the idea of an idea.

off the grid (2021) is the first in a series of reconstructed conversations I've had with various people in my life. My goal is to break language and communication down to its simplest form. What do we say between/underneath the words that carry the message? What kind of subtext does tone and delivery provide? And how can new meaning be derived when words are extracted and rebuilt into a stream-of-consciousness with others?
